John O’Shea Extends Contract

John O’Shea has signed a three-year extension to his current contract. This means that he will remain under contract at Old Trafford until 2012.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson said: “John has developed here and is regarded as one of the more experienced players.

John O’Shea has proved himself to be of great value during his time at the club. Originally he began to play in midfield, but has since played in defence and when required upfront.

O’shea, who made his debut in 1999 against Aston Villa said “I have been at the club since the age of 17 and it is a dream come true to play for such a great club”.
